Danny Ray Copeland departed this life on Friday, July 24, 2020, at the age of 69 years, 5 months, and 22 days. He was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on February 2, 1951, the son of the late D.O. and Betty Jo Garrard Copeland. On January 19, 1979, he was united in marriage to Mary Jane Staggs, who survives.
Danny had worked for ACBL as a tow boat captain. He was a member of Counce United Pentecostal Church and enjoyed flying ultra light airplanes.
Danny is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Copeland of Savannah, Tennessee; children, Stephanie Bain and her husband Joey of Savannah, Tennessee, and Stephen Copeland and his wife Meagan of Lexington, Alabama; grandchildren, Ashlyn Austin, Katie Beth Bain, Jason Copeland, and Dalton Shubert; and sister, Frankie Naylor and her husband Bill of Muscle Shoals, Alabama.
In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by his daughter, Mandy Jane Copeland Shubert; brothers, Harold and Mark Copeland; and a sister, Charlotte Copeland Neill.
