Mr. Jackson passed away Wednesday afternoon, March 9, 2011 at Bolivar General Hospital.
The husband of Shirley Mae Durham Jackson, who survives, he was a brick mason and a contract laborer with Wayne Bishop. Mr. Jackson was born May 10, 1948 in Woodstock to the late Burton William Jackson and Elizabeth McKee Jackson and lived most of his life in Tennessee. He was a graduate of Bolivar Central High School and served his country in the US Army during Vietnam. He loved to hunt during his younger years.
In addition to his wife, whom he married June 27, 1969, he is survived by a son, Mike Jackson of Bolivar; and a grandson, Michael Joe Jackson of Bolivar. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother.
