DAVID BRASFIELD
Finger, TN: David Milton Brasfield age 72 passed away February 5, 2016 at his home.
He was born July 28, 1943 in Friendship, TN in Crockett County, son of the late R.G. Brasfield and Sue Brasfield. He was raised by his grandparents, Bud and Martha Brasfield. He went to school in Crockett County and graduated From Crockett Mills High School in 1961. He started working in Dickson, TN as a TN Highway Patrolman and continued in the THP for over twenty-nine years, serving the longest time in Chester County. He married Dana Machelle Hughes, January 27, 2001. They made their home in Chester County. He loved gardening, driving his tractor and grilling outdoors. He was a member of the Victory Baptist Church and the Tennessee Highway Patrol Retired Officers Association.
Mr. Brasfield is survived by his wife, Dana Machelle Hughes Brasfield of Finger; two sons, David E. Brasfield of Corinth, MS and Harold Brasfield of Henderson; five grandchildren, Zach Brasfield, Dalton Brasfield, Clay Brasfield, Logan Price and Chelsey Price and one great grandchild; a half brother, Raymond Brasfield of Jackson and a half sister, Lolita Cruce of Kentucky.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday, February 8, 2016 at Victory Baptist Church with Jerry McCorkle officiating. Burial will follow in Milledgeville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Shackelford Funeral Directors - Casey Chapel 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Sunday and 9:00 AM until service time Monday at Victory Baptist Church.
