David J. Britt was born July 8, 1966 in Grand Junction, TN the son of the late B. L. and Paulene Childers Britt.
He was united in marriage to Ruby Davis on July 29, 1989.
David attended Ashland High School in Ashland, MS. He was employed by Ergon in Iuka, MS for 21 years as a Maintenance Supervisor. David was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a faithful member of Clear Creek Baptist Church in the Lawton community.
David departed this life on April 10, 2016 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 49 Years, 9 Months, 2 Days. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Ruby (Davis) Britt of Selmer, TN; two daughters, Leigh Ann Britt of Bethel Springs, TN and Amy Britt of Selmer, TN; a sister, Lynda Jemison and husband Robert of Ashland, MS; a niece, Kimberly Swindle; three nephews: Keith Jemison, Casey Jemison, and Ricky Davis; and many extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Guy and Hester Britt, and maternal grandparents Lonnie and Evie Childers.
