DAVID CANDOW

 Pinson, TN: David Carrington Candow, Jr. age 77, passed away June 18, 2024 at his home.

 He was born October 7, 1946, in Memphis, TN the son of the late David Candow, Sr. and Carol Lee Sayle Wright. He grew up in Memphis and was a 1964 graduate of Messick High School. He later earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.

He worked for many years for Raytheon-T.I. in Texas. He married LaDonna Hockett in 1981 and they were married twenty-five years and raised three daughters together.

He played a lot of baseball in his youth. He liked fishing, grilling and camping.

He loved wildlife and he kept pets over the years, and he leaves his cat ‘Miss Kitty’.

He attended Bethel Baptist Church.

Mr. Candow is survived by his three daughters, Angela Candow (J.J. Gomez) of Bells, TX, Ashley Candow (Brandon) of Bells, TX and Amy Green (Billy Dunlap) of Leonard, TX; eight grandchildren, Kheirston Gomez, Kaden Gomez, Keaira Gomez, Khelson Gomez, Lexi Guzman, Landyn Guzman, Mason Gomez and Tanner Gomez; two great grandchildren, Camden Gomez and Khynslee O’Brien and two sisters, Carol Locke of Whiteville, TN and Stacy Wright Temple of Bartlett, TN; and his ex-wife, LaDonna Hinson of Bells, TX, and he leaves behind his cat, ‘Miss Kitty’.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepfather, William Wright, a brother, Will Wright and a sister, Greer Armisted.

Memorial services will be 12:00 PM Saturday June 22nd at Bethel Baptist Church.
