David Glenn Collins passed away May 5, 2026, at the age of 65 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

David was the son of Patricia Davidson Ashworth and the late Rayford Glenn Collins. A lifelong resident of Henderson, TN, David graduated from Chester County High School in 1979. He later attended TN College of Applied Technology where he received a diploma in HVAC. David was the owner of Collins Refrigeration and AC.

As a young boy David enjoyed driving his truck, riding motorcycles and listening to classic rock. He was a Boy Scout and went to camp in Philmont, NM. He was awarded the Bronze Palm Medal as an Eagle Scout.

He leaves behind his mother, Patricia Davidson Ashworth, a sister, Lisa Byrnes (William) and brother, Jeff Pounds. Also leaving behind his aunt, Linda Bailey; cousins, Robert “Sonny” Bailey (Gina), Steven Bailey (Beverly) and four nieces and a cousin. He also leaves behind his loving companion, Dorothy Miller.   

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mabel and Willard Davidson.

Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Saturday May 9, 2026, at Trinity Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue Chapel from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM on Saturday.
