DAVID EMERSON
Henderson, TN: David Leo Emerson age 76, passed away March 1, 2022 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was born January 11, 1946 in Chester County, the son of the late Leo and Virginia Taylor Hall Emerson. He grew up and spent his whole life in Chester County. He helped his father farm for a time and then began working for the Chester County Highway Department for a time. He then worked for the Tennessee Department of Transportation as a bridge inspector for twenty–five plus years before retiring.
He married Lillie ‘Lil’ Martin in November of 1980. He enjoyed walking and riding a four wheeler and collecting things. He was a member of the Montezuma Methodist Church.
Mr. Emerson is survived by his wife, Lillie Mae Martin Emerson of Henderson; two brothers, Jerry Emerson (Kathy) of Henderson and John Wesley Emerson of Henderson; a sister, Doris Cooper of Henderson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Dennis Emerson and a sister, Dorothy Moon.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, March 4th at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Bro. Ken Frye officiating. Burial will follow at Haltoms Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 9 AM until 11 AM service time Friday.
