David Lynn Forsythe

David Lynn Forsythe, 63, of Selmer, TN, passed away on August 6, 2024. Born on September 22, 1960, David was the beloved husband of Debbie Forsythe and devoted father to Casey, Joshua, Hannah, and Haley and “Pop” to Elijah, Ezra, Elizabeth, Roan, and Olivia.

David was widely known for his relentless work ethic and dedication. His work in flooring installation spanned the majority of the county, showcasing his dedication and craftsmanship. He took immense pride in his family and never missed an opportunity to share his joy. You would often find him bragging about his children and grandchildren, often recounting their accomplishments with great enthusiasm and affection. His pride in their achievements was a testament to the deep love he had for his family. Nothing made him happier than having a lap full of grandchildren.

David was a member of Pleasant Site Baptist Church where he was baptized, First Baptist Graceville, FL, New Prospect in Hartford, AL, and Ramer Baptist Church. David enjoyed attending services at First Baptist Church in Selmer, TN. He graduated from welding school in Corinth, MS following his high school graduation. 

He is survived by his wife, Debbie; his children, Casey Forsythe, Joshua Forsythe (Jada), Hannah Pierson (Daniel), and Haley Gilley (Joe); his grandchildren, Elijah, Ezra, Elizabeth, Roan, and Olivia; his parents, Jetta and Robbie; his siblings, Steve (Tammy) and Lisa and a host of extended family.
