David William Hunsucker

February 28, 1964 — June 5, 2024

Middleton, Tennessee

David William Hunsucker, lovingly known as a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend, bid farewell to this world on June 5, 2024. He was born on February 28, 1964, in Bolivar, Tennessee. David's journey was one of dedication and passion that touched the lives of many around him.

Known as a hard worker, David carved a path for himself as the Owner and Operator of Chem Equip since 1999. Prior to this venture, he dedicated several years of hard work at Wilson Well. He was a member of  Rocky Springs Baptist church and former song leader.

David's impact stretched far beyond the workplace. He had an infectious personality that lit up the room wherever he went. He found solace and joy in simple pleasures like driving his tractor and bush hogging. His love for family knew no bounds; he cherished moments spent with his wife and best friend, Lisa Kay Hunsucker of Middleton, daughters, Priscilla Hunsucker and her special friend, Anabell Gonzalez of Coldwater, MS, Sabrina Williams & JoJo Posadas of Corinth, MS, Laura Jones & Brad of Walnut, MS, and grandchildren Alanna, Lynlee, Addley and Liam Jones, Jayden Williams and Daniel Salas, whom he loved watching play in the front yard while he was sitting and talking in his front porch swing.  He not only worked hard, but he loved hard also, loving his Lord above all else.

Among those who have gone before him are his parents, Thomas William Hunsucker & Bonnie Jewell White Hunsucker. Leaving behind cherished memories are surviving family members - brother Phillip Hunsucker & Jane Anne of Somerville, brother and sister in laws, Glen Burnette (Tammy), Mark Burnette (Carol), Paul, Sandy and Misty Burnette, a host of other nieces and nephews, his 'sister from another mister', Patty Bryant and his mother in law, Margie Burnette of Saulsbury.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brother-in-laws, Neal Burnette, Larry Burnette, Ronnie Burnette & Ken Burnette.

David's love for life extended to his nieces and nephews but held a special place in his heart for Wade & Carly, who stayed with them almost every weekend when they were growing up - treating them as his own. His love for music was palpable; he enjoyed singing Southern gospel tunes and had a voice likened to legends like Ricky Van Shelton and Conway Twitty and Kenny Hinson. In quieter moments on the porch swing or amidst laughter while playing cornhole in the front yard with loved ones, David's spirit shone bright.
