David Lee Keaton
was born in Combs, Kentucky the son of the late Raymond and Beulah Fagues Keaton.
On December 21, 1968, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Jane Elizabeth Capstick, who survives. Through that marriage showed everyone what real commitment, loyalty, and love looked like.
David joined the Army and spent three years in Germany. He came back disciplined, steady, grounded and organized. Solid as a rock, which pretty much describes him for the rest of his life. He was a natural athlete, played all sports and was great at all of them. David coached baseball when his sons were young, he was always present and supportive. He lived his life the right way, loved his family deeply, and left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
David departed this life on Sunday, February 8, 2026 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 82 years, 4 months, and 17 days.
In addition to his wife of 57 years, Janie Keaton, he is survived by his two sons, David Edward Keaton and John Allen Keaton; grandchild, Abigail Virginia Keaton, and one on the way, AndiMarie Elizabeth Odel; brothers, Ed Gray Keaton (Betty), Glenn Keaton, and Raymond "Bub" Keaton (Sonya); and sisters, Rayelene Baudendistel (Tom), Judy Polston (Chris), and Carrie Storms (John).
David was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Beulah Keaton, and one brother Harold Gray.
