DAVID FRANK LANE

 Finger, TN: David Frank Lane age 57, passed away January 22, 2024, at his home.

He was born September 3, 1966, in Memphis, and grew up in Finger, the son of the late James Frank ‘Jimmy’ Lane and Geneva Lane. He attended Chester County Schools.

He had been in the pest control business for thirty years and owned Lane’s Pest Control in Jackson, serving several surrounding counties.

David married Carrie ‘Wendy’ Clark in 2018. They made their home at Finger.

He loved restoring cars and still had his 1968 Pontiac Firebird. David had a fun-loving personality and so enjoyed picking on the ones he loved the most.

He enjoyed a well-maintained yard.

He attended Mitchell’s Chapel Baptist Church at Masseyville.

David is survived by his wife, Carrie ‘Wendy’ Clark Lane of Finger; two sons, Clark Massengill (Courtney) of Woodville and Clay Massengill (Alexis) of Brownsville and a daughter, Carie Allison Cox (Christopher) of Henderson, two grandchildren, Cameron Jumper and Brooks Cox and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ernest and Dianne Clark of Woodville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Johnny Lane and a sister, Vicky Lane.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue Chapel with Bro. Jared Walters officiating. Burial will follow at Woodville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday.
