Mr. McDonald passed away late Saturday night, October 31, at his home.
A native and life-long resident of the Middleton area, he was the son of the late Herbert and Ilene Newland McDonald and a 1964 graduate of Middleton High School. United in marriage to Lois Marie Grantham on Friday, June 27, 1980, they celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary this year.
Mr. McDonald was a member of the Porter's Creek Baptist Church and operated McDonald Electric for the past 40 years. In his leisure time, he enjoyed working and "tinkering" on just about anything mechanical including time spent with his tractor. Devoted to his family and especially his grandchildren, he loved to make others laugh and smile and had his own "nickname" for almost everyone with whom he came in contact.
He leaves his wife, Marie Graham McDonald of Middleton; sons, Randy (Connie) and Joey (Stephanie) McDonald, both of Middleton, Keith (Wanda) and Lynn (Kim) Graham, both of Saulsbury; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Ben McDonald; daughter, Lisa Graham; and four brothers, Troy, Van, Horace and Reece McDonald.
Memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association (http://www.heart.org) or the American Cancer Society (http://www.heart.org)
