David Owens, 55, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
He was born Saturday, January 7, 1967, the son of Bess Goodman King of Jackson and the late Donald Hugh Owens. He worked as a self-employed contractor and enjoyed NASCAR and dogs. He was an avid Alabama fan and especially loved his family.
Survivors include three daughters, Kristen McCord and Haley Owens, both of Mercer and Kendal Owens of Jackson; a son, David Wayne Owens of Milan; his mother, Bess King of Jackson; a sister, Nancy Morris (David) of Henderson; and 8 grandchildren. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Karen Phillips in 2000 and his stepfather, Ernest King in 2008.
