Mr. Tull was born in Henderson, the son of the late Guy and Lora Roberts Tull. At age twelve he moved to Detroit to make his home with his uncle and aunt, Horace and Verlin Roberts Latham. He graduated from Cass Technical High School in Detroit. He entered the service and served in the Pacific during World War II.
