David Elton White

David Elton White Sr., Olivehill, TN was born June 28, 1936 in Ozark, Arkansas, the son of the late Guy Pierce and Lily Alberta Mitchell White. Mr. White departed this life on August 1, 2018 at the home of his daughter in Hollytree, AL at the age of 82 Years, 1 Month, 30 Days. He was a retired construction worker.

He is survived by his life partner, Mabel M. Grove, sons, David E. White of Delaware, and Lloyd J. White of Olivehill, TN, daughters, Mabel M Slack of Delaware, Elaine P. Sneed of Hollytree, AL, Theresa L Edwards of Waynesboro, TN, and Judithann L. Johnson of Owens Crossroads, AL, brother, William White of Evergreen, MS, sisters, Jenny Bilbo of Y City, AR and Wanda Winter of Memphis, TN, 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild, several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. White was preceded in death by brothers, Guy P. White Jr., Gilbert White, James White, and Van White.


Services will be Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Waynesboro, Tennessee with Bobby Carroll officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Methodist Church Cemetery near Lawrenceburg with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
