Our beloved, Deborah Jean Watkins McCain, age 54 of Rogers Springs, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.
Deborah was born on June 2, 1958 in Ft. Worth, Texas. She will be remembered for her loving, gentle spirit, her endless compassion for others, her unconditional love for her family and the way she gave so generously of herself and expected nothing in return. When she spoke, her words were full of wisdom. She always knew just the right thing to say and just the right time to say it. Most of all, we will remember how she could make us laugh, exactly at the times we needed to.
Deborah is survived by her husband of 37 years, Bobby Joe McCain, her mother, Naomi Louise Cary Watkins Henry and her stepfather, William Dean Henry, both of Saulsbury, Tennessee; her sons David Wayne Watkins and his wife, Karen Watkins, of Luray Virginia and Robert Brian McCain and his wife, Cynthia McCain, of Brighton, Tennessee; her brothers, Barney Wilford Watkins, III of Hickory Valley, Tennessee, David Bruce Watkins and his wife Robin Watkins of Saulsbury, Tennessee, Donald Lee Watkins and his wife Connie Watkins of Middleton, Tennessee, and Phillip Ray Watkins of Saulsbury, Tennessee; her beloved granddaughters, Kristen Michelle Watkins of Luray, Virginia and Cheyenne Ilyana McCain of Brighton, Tennessee; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends that she loved very much. She was preceded in death by her father, Barney W. Watkins, Jr.
Pallbearers will include her brothers, Barney Wilford Watkins, IIII, David Bruce Watkins, Donald Lee Watkins, and Phillip Ray Watkins; and two nephews, Justin Ray Watkins and Austin David Watkins.
Places of honor will be held by Tuesday Sanders, honorary niece; Amanda Marie Watkins Jacobs, niece; Malia Naomi Watkins Massey, niece.
