Henderson: Deborah Jean Hearn Moody, age 56, died Tuesday morning July 18, 2017 at Jackson General Hospital.

Mrs. Moody was born and reared in Henderson, the daughter of the late William Dowell and Rachel Imogene Knipper Hearn. She graduated from Chester County High School 1978. She married Terry Moody in 1988 and they made their home in Henderson. She worked at Salant & Salant, Color Craft, I Appeal, and Davidson Titles Incorporated. She also kept books for Moody and Sons Electric. She loved to collect Lucille Ball memorabilia. She enjoyed cooking and travel with her family to the mountains.

She was a member of Old Friendship Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and loved participating in activities at church.

She is survived by her husband Terry Moody and two sons; Nicholas Payton Moody and Michael Daniel Moody all of Henderson.

She was preceded in death by hers parents, and brother Denver Hearn.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Iran and Sherri Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Old Friendship Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Shackelford – Casey Chapel beginning at 5:00 PM Thursday.
