Debra Mae Miller, a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on August 15, 2025, in Corinth, Mississippi, at the age of 68. Born on October 10, 1956, in Key West, Florida, she was a cherished daughter of the late William Dudley and Dorothy Jean Davis Vann.
Debra’s heart was as big as her laughter. She married her husband, Dennis Miller, on January 4, 1994. Debra dedicated 21 years to her role as a customer service manager at Wal-Mart in Selmer, Tennessee, where her kindness shone brightly. Her compassion extended beyond the workplace, having worked at Chester County Nursing Home and as a private duty sitter, always prioritizing the needs of others.
Raised in a military family and proud to be a Navy mom, Debra’s love for her family was the cornerstone of her life. Nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her grandchildren, Jalen and Rileigh Neck, who were the light of her life. Whether it was traveling to the Smoky Mountains or Branson with her family, Debra cherished every moment made alongside her loved ones.
Debra lived life fully, filling her years with laughter and creating countless cherished memories. She is survived by her husband, Dennis Miller; her son, Michael E. Neck Jr. and his wife Melissa of Williamsburg, VA; her grandchildren, Jael and Rileigh Neck; a sister and best friend, Cheryl Albert and her husband Warren of Roanoke, VA; three brothers—William D. Vann Jr. and wife Lisa of Virginia Beach, VA, James A. Vann and wife Tracey of Suffolk, VA, John H. Vann and wife Sandra of Portsmouth, VA; her mother-in-law, Louise Miller of Bethel Springs, TN; and a multitude of nieces and nephews who will forever hold her memory close.
In addition to her parents, Debra was preceded in death by her sister, Karen Lynn Lee, and brother-in-law, Tommy Neal Miller.
Debra Mae Miller will be deeply missed but joyfully remembered for her unwavering kindness, loving spirit, and the laughter that resonated through the hearts of those she touched. Her legacy will continue to inspire and uplift all who knew her.
