Deena Lavon Rasmussen

Deena Lavon Rasmussen, born on August 21, 1956, departed this world on May 27, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of joy and resilience. Deena faced life's challenges with unwavering positivity, embodying the spirit of her favorite phrase, “Happy Day.” Even after enduring the difficulties that came with the aftermath of a stroke, she maintained a cheerful attitude that inspired all who had the privilege of knowing her.

For the last 15 years, Deena found her home among the caring community at River Lodge Assisted Living in Mountain Home, Arkansas. It was here that her love for life continued to flourish among the supportive environment, and she became a regular participant in many activities, especially her beloved games of Bingo and her passion for gardening. Deena also held a special place in her heart for Arkansas football.

Deena is survived by her loving daughter, Carol Allen and husband Brian; her cherished granddaughter, Stephanie Allen; her 2 grandsons , William Duncan and Vincent Allen. Each of these family members held a special place in her heart and contributed to the happiness that defined her life.

Deena Lavon Rasmussen leaves behind a legacy of happiness, love, and resilience, traits that will continue to inspire those who knew her. Her spirit will forever be cherished in the hearts of her family and friends.

Memorial Services will be held on June 2, 2025 at 6:00 PM at Lakeview Church in Selmer. Visitation will be held on June 2, 2025 at 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM.
