Mrs. Wilson passed away Friday evening, February 22, 2019 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Deena was a native of Memphis and was the daughter of the late Edward J. Bissell and Ginger Patterson Bissell Riley. On March 21, 1987, she was united in marriage to Butch Wilson, who survives.
She was a retired registered nurse having worked at Western Mental Health Institute in Bolivar and Methodist Hospital in Memphis. In her leisure time, she enjoyed traveling, especially in Tennessee, watching movies and time spent at the ocean. She and Butch loved their dogs so much they became almost like children to them. Deena was a person with a great capacity for love and forgiveness who enjoyed life and was nice to everyone she met.
In addition to her husband of almost 32 years, she leaves her brother, Barry (Yvonne) Bissell of Jackson, MS; three nieces, Michelle (Major Chris, US Army) Wilson of Washington, DC, Laura (Joey) Harrington of Petal, MS and Lisa Hodges of Jacksonville, FL; six great nieces and nephews, Abigail Wilson of Washington, DC, Bella Bissell of Madison, MS, Fritz, Molly and Madison Harrington of Petal, MS and Nicole Lee of Fayetteville, AR; and two great-great nieces and nephews.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a nephew, Mark Bissell of Jackson, MS; and special friend, Virginia Martin of Selmer.
