Dela Sue Black

Dela Sue Black departed this life on Sunday, October 11, 2009, in Jackson, TN, at the age of 83 years, 7 months, and 24 days. She was born on February 17, 1926, to the late John and Bessie Smith Watkins. She was united in marriage to Willard Hardin Black who preceded her in death in July of 1978.Mrs. Black was a member of The Sanctuary of MPC. She worked for 25 years at Salant and Salant in Henderson, TN, and was retired from Aqua Glass Corporation in Adamsville.Survivors are a daughter, Cindy Sue Singleton and husband Tim of Saltillo, TN; a son, William David Black and wife Linda of Ajo, AZ; five grandchildren, Tammy Denise McGregor of Adamsville, Melissa Gail Black of Savannah, TN, Breanna Danielle Singleton of Saltillo, TN, Seth Hardin Singleton of Saltillo, and Christopher Cody Singleton also of Saltillo; two great-granddaughters, Abby May Calley of Killen, AL, and Cheyenne McGregor of Adamsville.Other than her parents and husband, Mrs. Black was also preceded in death by two sisters, Lura Hampton and Luna Mae Moore, a brother, Leonard Watkins, and a daughter who died as an infant.
