Delbert E. Gray

Mr. Delbert Earl Gray departed this life on Saturday February 24, 2018 at Waynesboro Health and Rehabilitation Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 89 Years, 9 Months, 2 Days. He was born May 22, 1928 in Lauderdale County, AL the son of the late Herbert and Evie Jones Gray.

He was united in marriage to Marlene Butler on October 6, 1993.

Mr. Gray was a Insurance Salesman, member of the Shawnette Methodist Church and served on Wayne Co. Commission

He is survived by wife Marlene Butler Gray, Waynesboro, TN., daughter, Carolyn Haggard, Collinwood, TN, step daughters, Susan Pope, Collinwood, TN, Donita Ray, Waynesboro, TN., step son, Junior Wooten, Collinwood, TN., grandchildren, Timothy Paul Ary, Jeffrey Allan Reaves and Tina Diane Gray, great grandchild, Jagger Jace Paul Ary, 7 step grandchildren, 11 step great grandchildren, sisters, Jennie McGee and Velarea Michael both of Killen, Al.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Gray was preceded in death by son, James Gray, daughter, Oleta Ary, grandson, Joe Darrell Ary, sister, Earline Byrd, mother of his children, Patsy Cummins Gray.

Services will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home chapel Collinwood, Tennessee, with Tim Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow in McGlamery Cemetery, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be on Monday, February 26, 2018, 5:30 -- 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, February 27, 11:00 a.m. until service time @ Shackelford Funeral Home chapel Collinwood, TN
