Delby Browning Parker

Delby Parker



Henderson: Delby Browning Parker, age 74, died Monday morning at his home near Henderson.



Mr. Parker was born and reared in Chester County, the son of the late Joseph Columbus and Ivy Viola Greene Parker. He attended Chester County schools and in 1956 married Mary Lou Kilzer. They made their home in the Wilson School Community all their married life. Mr. Parker farmed until 1964 and then worked as a foreman at Whalley Construction Company in Jackson until 1974. He then worked as group leader at Citi Plate Lithographic in Jackson until he retired in 1987. He was a member of the Pleasant Springs United Methodist Church.



He is survived by his wife Mary Louise Kilzer Parker and two sons Aaron Parker and Boyd Parker and wife Melinda and a sister Mary Nell Parker Horton all of Henderson.



He was preceded in death by four brothers Joseph Carl Parker, James Perry Parker, Shelby Parker, and Aaron Parker and two sisters Lydia Moten and Kathryn Marcle.



Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at Shackelford – Casey Chapel with Rev. Josh Cantrell officiating and burial will follow at Pleasant Springs Cemetery at Deanburg.



The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel beginning 5:00 PM Tuesday.
