Dennis E. Smith

Dennis E. Smith departed this life on October 31, 2014 at the age of 66 Years, 1 Month, 17 Days. He was born on September 14, 1948 in Savannah, Tennessee, the son of the late Ed Smith and Mattie Elizabeth Smith, who survives.

He was united in marriage to his wife, Janie Louise Lassiter Smith on July 5, 1968, who survives.

Mr. Smith was retired from working as a sales engineer at the Plant Maintenance Service Corps for 36 years. He was also a member of the New Life Pentecostal Church in Savannah, Tennessee.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Rinks of Savannah, Tennessee and Teresa Harris and her husband, Shelby, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one son, Teddy Jilek and his wife, Ashley, of Wisconsin; one brother, Tony Smith of Nashville, Tennessee; and 12 grandchildren.

Other than his father, he is preceded in death by one daughter, Beth White; one sister, Sandra Smith; and two brothers, Bobby Smith and Jerry Smith.
