Derek "Duder" Wright

On April 9, 2024, our hearts were filled with sorrow as we said goodbye to Derek (Duder) Wright, who passed away in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 34. Born on October 23, 1989, in Hohenwald, TN, the son of Brenda Fay Robinson Crowe and the late Adam Wayne Wright.

Derek brought immense joy and love into the lives of those around him.

Since his early days, Derek was lovingly known as "Duder." His warm smile, infectious laughter, and radiant eyes that sparkled with happiness left a lasting impression on everyone he met. An enthusiastic music lover, he found solace in various genres of music; some of his beloved tunes included "What a Girl Wants," "Somewhere Over the Rainbow," and "A Picture of Me (without You)." Derek cherished the simple pleasures of life - from listening to birds chirping to savoring milkshakes and car rides along with a Mt. Dew or Dr, Pepper; he truly appreciated each moment.

Family always held a special place in Duder's heart, especially his brothers with whom he shared an unbreakable bond. He was undeniably a Mama's boy - a precious child that was loved immensely.

Derek is survived by his mother, Brenda Crowe and her companion Frankie Gilbert of Selmer, TN; brothers, James Adam Wright of Selmer, TN and Jared Ray Wright and wife Deanna of Ethridge, TN; sister, Miranda Anne Wright of Hohenwald, TN; two nieces, Nevaeh Paige Wright and Carmen Wright; two nephews, Cannon Wright and Hudson Wright; grandmothers, Nancy Watkins of Selmer, TN, Joan Massey of Pontotoc, MS, and Robin Robinson of Memphis, TN; and a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to his father, Mr. Wright was preceded in death by grandmother, Ann Wright; grandfather, Jimmy Robinson.

Duder's legacy will continue to live on in our hearts as we carry forward the love and light he shared during his time among us.
