Mr. Box passed away Saturday morning at Bolivar General Hospital.
The husband of Gina DeBerry Box, who survives, he was a truck driver for 19 years, most recently working for Transco Lines out of Russellville, Arkansas. He was born to Joan Killingsworth Box McLeod of Memphis and the late Paul J. Box, who died in 2002, and lived in Memphis until moving here in 2000. He loved to work on and restore pickup trucks. Equally, he intensely enjoyed watching NASCAR races and bar-be-quing for his friends. Mr. Box was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis.
In addition to his wife, whom he married on December 31, 1993, and his mother, survivors include a stepfather, Cort McLeod of Memphis; a sister, Janis Box of Arlington; a brother and his wife, Douglas and Debbie Box of Arlington; his mother and father in law, James and Elynor DeBerry of Hornsby; a sister in law and her husband, Sherry and Drew Cassidy of El Paso, Tex.; a brother in law and his wife, James, II and Suzanne DeBerry of Collierville; two nieces, Ashley Cassidy of Kansas City, KS and Lauren DeBerry of Jackson; three nephews, Dustin and Cody Box of Arlington and Zach DeBerry of Jackson; and a great nephew, Elijah DeBerry of Jackson.
