Dessie M. Haase, 88, of Mercer, died Monday evening, May 30,2005 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
The wife of Richard C. Haase, who survives, she was a homemaker. Mrs. Haase was born July 21, 1916 in Tupelo, Miss., daughter of the late Melia and Ida Hoffman Crosswhite and had lived in Mercer since 1965. She was Church of Christ in belief.
Services were 11AM Friday, June 3, 2005 at Shackelford Funeral Directors Bolivar chapel with Ed Ballard officiating. Burial was in Melrose Cemetery near Whiteville.
In addition to her husband, whom she married October 23, 1955, survivors include two sisters, Anna Lou Miller of West Point, Miss and Arlene Baker of Meridian, Miss. She was preceded in death by six brothers.
