Deward B. McCormick

Deward B. McCormick was born February 8, 1923 in Henderson County, Tennessee the son of the late Lee and Hattie Weatherington McCormick.He was united in marriage to Verblene Garner who survives.Mr. McCormick was a retired Truck Driver for the McNairy Co. Highway Department after 20 years of service. He was Baptist in faith.Mr. McCormick departed this life on July 22, 2009 in Adamsville, Tennessee at the age of 86 Years, 5 Months, 14 Days. He is survived by his wife Verblene McCormick of Adamsville, TN; three sons, J. D. McCormick of Jackson, TN, Thomas Ray McCormick of Selmer, TN, Travis Lee McCormick of Selmer, TN; two sisters, Pridus Julian of Finger, TN, Jean Mullins of Jackson, TN; a brother, Neal McCormick of Chillicothe, IL; 12 Grandchildren, 27 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren.In addition to his parents, Mr. McCormick was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Mae Wages; three sisters, Arlene Moore, Oletta Jamerson, Georgie Baker; seven brothers, Lyman McCormick, Max McCormick, Lloyd McCormick, Willie Dean McCormick, Carmon McCormick, Earl McCormick, and Infant McCormick.
