Henderson, TN: Diane Pickett, age 61 passed away May 14, 2017 at her home.
She was born September 2, 1955 in Hardeman County, the daughter of the late Albert Thomas and Jenny Ilse Chaney. She was raised at Snow White by her grandparents, Maggie and Jim Bob Poole. She attended school in Hardeman County. She was married to Burl Ivy and later to Ricky Pickett. She worked as a waitress for many years.
She is survived by two daughters, Tisha Weaver and husband David of Jackson and Tabitha Maness (Richard Jones) of Bethel Springs; a son, Tommy Ivy and wife Stacy of Pinson; three sisters, Donna Kay Chaney of Florida, Jenny Lee Wood of Franklin, MO and Karen Louise Shelker of Franklin, MO; four brothers, Norman Grindstaff, Jeff Grindstaff and Bill Grindstaff all of MO and Ronny Chaney of Parsons, TN and grandchildren, Zachery Weaver, Ashley Vincent, David Michael Weaver Robert Lynn Maness, Jr. Kelsey Taylor Ivy, Robert Foust, Shianne Vinson and Cameron Weaver and great grandchildren, Camden, Kelsie, Keelan and Cade.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ricky Dale Pickett on February 9, 2017.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Wednesday May 17, 2017 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Johnson Chapel. Burial will follow in New Friendship Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Johnson Chapel beginning at 5:00 PM on Tuesday.
