Diane Ramer was born on May 16, 1950, in Alcorn County, MS, the cherished daughter of the late Prentiss Albert and Mary Jewell Dodds Baldwyn. 

She embarked on a beautiful journey of love when she united in marriage to Billy Ramer on January 18, 1974. Mr. Ramer passed away on July 27, 2021.

Diane found joy and fulfillment in her life as a devoted member of Chewalla Baptist Church in Ramer, TN, where she nurtured friendships and community bonds. Her spirit shone brightly through her simple pleasures, whether it be solving word search puzzles or tending to her beloved vegetable garden. Diane was not only a wonderful grandmother but also a great friend to many, displaying a warmth and kindness that touched the lives of those around her.

Known for her exceptional cooking talent, she created delightful memories through her love of cooking. Her pies, especially her signature strawberry pie, along with peach cobbler and mouthwatering chicken and dressing, and banana puddings brought comfort and joy to her family. Quilting was another passion of hers, reflecting her creativity and care for her loved ones.

Mrs. Ramer departed this life on January 9, 2026, in Ramer, Tennessee, leaving behind a legacy of love that will endure in the hearts of those she cherished. At the age of 75 years, 7 months, and 24 days, she is survived by her son, Richie Hilburn of Ramer, TN; two daughters, Vanessa Fortune of Ramer, TN, and Amanda Carden of Corinth, MS; as well as her beloved grandchildren, Alyssa Fortune and Colton Fortune. She also leaves behind a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Dennis Baldwyn and Donald Baldwyn.

As we celebrate Diane's life, we remember her unwavering love for her family and the tender care she gave to her home. May her spirit continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her.
