Bolivar, Tennessee

Dianna Lynn Smith was born December 10, 1945 to Patty Jean and Charles Plunk. She is preceded in by her husband, Vance Smith, whom she loved for over 50 years before his passing in 2017. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Patrice Grantham.

She leaves many people behind to mourn her loss including her son, Vance Smith II of Bolivar and her granddaughter, Shelby Jackson and husband, Hunter, of Bolivar. She is also survived by her brother, Charles Plunk of Bolivar and 4 nieces.

Loved by many in her community, many people knew her from her time as a bank teller, but most remember from her store, Belle Boutique, here in Bolivar. Her husband, Vance Smith, owned the Shirt Shack and they both enjoyed the community they helped during their time as business owners. Dianna was a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church for many years and her love for her Lord was evident in her way of life. She was a true southern belle that many knew her for her proper manners and her conduct as a true lady. She was kind and gracious to everyone she met.

Dianna is remembered fondly by her family. Her granddaughter, Shelby, recalls her “Nana” teaching her how to read and instilling in her a love of music, books, and puzzles. Dianna loved reading which was evident by the large collection of Agatha Christie books in her possession - many which she read numerous time. She also loved gardening as anyone who drove by her house knew. She was frequently seen meticulously pulling out the smallest of weeds from her front yard. She also loved riding her bicycle, especially when she was in Gulf Shores. The entire family had many adventures going to the beach over the years.

Dianna passed away peacefully in her home, at the age of 79, in the care of her son and granddaughter. She is now in her heavenly home with her Lord. The family wishes to thank everyone for remembering this wonderful woman who was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to so many.
