DIXIE JEAN CULLEN JONES, 95, formerly of Memphis, Tennessee passed away on November 28, 2016 in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Dixie was born in Guthrie on September 5, 1921 and was raised in Clairmont, California. She married Robert E. Jones of Counce, Tennessee and moved to Memphis where Dixie was employed as secretary at Richland Elementary School for 17 years. After retiring from Memphis City Schools, Dixie and her husband moved to Guthrie where she was a member of Noble Baptist Church.
The widow of Robert E. Jones, Dixie is survived by her son, Robert W. Jones (Mary Beth) of Guthrie, Oklahoma and her daughter, Wendy J. Johnston (Wayne) of Oakland, Tennessee; and four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude or Oakland Presbyterian Church, Oakland, TN 38060
