Dollie Mae Austin departed this life on Thursday, May 5, 2016, at the age of 75 years, 3 months, and 11 days. She was born in Savannah, Tennessee on January 24, 1941, the daughter of the late Lester and Lettie Benson Austin.
Dollie had worked for Brown Shoe Company and at the 69 Coin-Op Laundry as a laundry attendant. She loved her family and friends as well as her cats and dogs. Dollie believed in the Lord and was baptized.
She is survived by her sons, Dwight Austin and his companion, Wanda Copeland and Bennett Austin all of Savannah, Tennessee; grandson, Logan Austin; sisters, Mary E. Austin and Margie Benson both of Savannah, Tennessee; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Dylan Wade Austin; sisters, Edna Austin, Rubene Sweat, and Aleda Shelby; and a brother, J.B. Austin.
She will be greatly missed.
