DON BUSBY

Henderson, TN: William Donald Busby, age 84, passed away July 16, 2026, at his home.

He was born September 29, 1941, in Henderson, the son of the late William Ward and Frances Marie Brewer Busby. He lived his entire life in the Sweetlips Community of Chester County.

Growing up he liked to hunt and fish, he farmed and worked in hay as a hobby, worked as a young man for Vic Graves Exxon, and then he went to work at Quality Manufacturing Company, until his retirement.

After his retirement he became an avid lover of the Crump Flea MKT.

Mr. Busby was a member of the Faith Baptist Church but had been attending services at Unity Baptist Church the last few years.

He is survived by his sister, Patsy Busby Davis of Henderson and his brother, Tex Busby (Rose) of Henderson, along with two nieces, Tina Davis and Crystal Hart (Michael) of Henderson, two nephews, Clint Busby of Henderson and Keith Busby (Candace) of Jackson, one great niece, two great nephews and two great-great nieces, and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary Busby and his son William Darryn Busby.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, July 19th at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Lewis Young and Dr. James Huggins officiating, burial will follow at Faith Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue, Saturday July 18th 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and beginning at 12 Noon on Sunday until service time.
