DON MALINAK

Finger, TN: Donald Ray Malinak, age 78, passed away Monday March 9, 2026, at his home.

He was born in Oakland, CA on July 20, 1947, son of the late Conrad and Elzada Ivy Malinak. He went to Piedmont High School and graduated in 1965.

In 1998, Don traveled to the Philippines and unexpectedly met the love of his life, Marissa Torres.

They married on May 20, 2000, and made their home in Henderson. Don and Marissa would have been celebrating 26 years of marriage.

Don enjoyed numerous things such as making pottery for his family and enjoyed photography. He was an avid outdoorsman who liked to hike and go walking. Don also enjoyed photography.

He is survived by his wife, Marissa Torres Malinak and a sister, Diane Malinak (Bruce) of California; as well a numerous family and friends who loved him dearly.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday March 16, 2026, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue Chapel with burial at Cave Springs Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue on Monday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM service time.
