Donald Eugene Swinea

Donald Eugene Swinea of Waynesboro, TN was born February 1, 1934 in Forrest City, AR, the son of the late Lonnie Swinea and Mabel White Swinea Hull. Mr. Swinea was a Production Manager & Sales Representative in the Industrial Laundry Business. He was President of Green River Country Club, a member of the Jaycees, and a member of the Tennessee Walking Horse Association.



Mr. Swinea had lived in Memphis, TN and West Monroe, LA before moving to Waynesboro, TN.



Mr. Swinea departed this life on Monday, September 10, 2012 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 78 Years, 7 Months, 9 Days.



He is survived by sons, Mike Swinea of West Monroe, La, Gary Swinea of Chantilly, Va, Mark Swinea of Hanover, PA, Jason Swinea of Waynesboro, TN, Brad Swinea of Dawson, MN; 7 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren; a brother, Raye Swinea of Waynesboro, TN; a sister, Geraldine Johnson of Memphis, TN; several nieces and nephews.



In addition to his parents, Mr. Swinea was preceded in death by a daughter, Patti Neely; a grandchild, Jaydee Lane Swinea; brothers, Lonnie Swinea Jr., Samuel Swinea, Steven Swinea; sisters, Mary E. Cook, Jeweldean Pierce, Lois Ruddle.



Services will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Larry Janes officiating. Burial will follow in the White Cemetery, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing.



Honorary pallbearers will be former members of Green River Country Club in Waynesboro, TN.
