Donn Schroeder's unwavering dedication to his career as an officer with First Tennessee Bank in Memphis for 18 years prior to his well-deserved retirement is a testament to his diligent work ethic and commitment to excellence. Born on April 11, 1936, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Donn embarked on a journey filled with remarkable achievements and cherished memories until his peaceful passing at Kirby Pines Retirement Community in Memphis on July 29, 2024.
Throughout his life, Donn found joy in simple pleasures such as gardening and caring for his beloved dog. His compassionate nature extended not only to his hobbies but also to his family and friends. Donn proudly served in the US Army and always held dear the values instilled in him during his military service.
Donn's proudest accomplishments included being a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he resided until 1958 before making Germantown and Memphis his home until 1984. He and his wife, Tamzy, moved to Saulsbury then and they enjoyed life together until her passing in 2023. He settled in Kirby Pines Retirement Community in 2018. His zest for life was evident in everything he did, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
In his final journey, Donn is reunited with his beloved parents, Herbert Theodore Schroeder and Anita Lillian Goetzke Schroeder, as well as his dear wife Tamzy Schroeder. He is survived by his loving daughter Nikki Renee Schroeder of Memphis.
A Graveside Service to honor and celebrate Donn's remarkable life will be held at Ridgecrest Cemetery in Jackson, TN on August 9, 2024. The service will commence at 2:00 PM followed by interment at this serene resting place located at 200 Ridgecrest Road.
Donn Schroeder will forever be remembered for his kindness, integrity, and unwavering love for those closest to him. May his legacy live on through the fond memories shared by all who knew him.
