Donna F. Woodyard, 63, of Grand Valley Lakes, departed this life Saturday morning, February 18, 2017 at Bolivar General Hospital.
She was a former medical records clerk with Whiteville Correctional Facility and also had worked as a 911 dispatcher in Marshall County, Mississippi. She was born December 30, 1953 in Memphis, daughter of the late Don Junior Peeler and Dora Faye Daniel Peeler and lived in Memphis and Mississippi. She married Mike Woodyard on December 14, 1996, at which point they moved to this area. She and Mike served for a time as houseparents with DeSoto Sunrise Homes. Her hobbies included riding their Harley-Davidson motorcycle and spending time with their children and granddaughter. Mrs. Woodyard was a member of Trinity Reformed Church in Rossville.
Survivors include her husband, Mike Woodyard; three sons, Scott Worsham of Hernando, MS, Adam Woodyard of San Antonio, TX and Ethan Woodyard of Starkville, MS; a brother, James D. Peeler of Decatur, TN; and her granddaughter, Maddie Worsham of Hernando, MS.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Hunter Worsham. The family requests memorial donations in her name be made to the Trinity Reformed Church, 6300 Highway 57, Rossville, TN 38066.
