Donna Sue Shields passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at the Bolivar General Hospital.
Ms. Shields was born in Jackson and lived most all of her life in Hardeman County. In addition being a homemaker, she worked at the Piggly Wiggly in Bolivar. Her church membership was at Walnut Grove Baptist Church and in her leisure time she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, painting nails, jewelry, flowers (especially roses) and angels.
She is survived by four daughters, Crystal Tavoian, Wendy and Ashley Johnson, all of Hornsby, and Cathy Johnson of Bolivar; her parents, Wayne and Ozell Shields of Hornsby; sister, Barbara Yvonne Crouse (David) of Hackett, AR; three brothers, William Odell Shields (Cathy) and Randall Lynn Shields, both of Hornsby and Thomas Duane Shields of Bolivar; and six grandchildren, Jesus, Maria and Daniel Johnson, Cassidy Nicole King, Damon Waldrop-Shields and Breonna Tavoian.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jessica Nicole Johnson; a son, Sidney Johnson, Jr. and a brother, Michael Wayne Shields.
