Donnie Ray
Ferguson
July 28, 1965 – April 18, 2026
Donnie Ray Ferguson, a talented craftsman and devoted family man, passed away on April 18, 2026. Born on July 28, 1965, in Selmer, Tennessee, he was the son of Faye Ferguson and the late Lonnie Ray Ferguson. A resident of Bethel Springs, Donnie was well-known throughout the region as the owner and operator of D&L Construction. His skill in commercial construction was matched only by his personal passion for woodworking and his knack for working on trucks. Whether he was on a job site or in his shop, Donnie was a man who took pride in working with his hands and building things that would last.
When he wasn’t working, Donnie found peace on the water fishing and strength in his faith as a dedicated attendee of Gateway Holiness Chapel in Bethel Springs. However, his greatest joy was found at home. He was a man who centered his life around his family, and nothing brought a smile to his face faster than the time spent playing with his grandchildren. Whether he was teaching them a new skill or simply enjoying their company, those moments were the ones he cherished most.
Donnie is survived by his son, Bryan Ferguson and wife Aylin of Cameron, NC; his mother, Faye Ferguson of Bethel Springs, TN; and his sister, Angelia Ferguson and companion Phillip Dane Tull of Bethel Springs, TN. His legacy lives on through his grandchildren: Lexi Dean and boyfriend Avery of Guys, TN; Jackson Ferguson, Bristol Ferguson, and Mila Fernandesdiaz, all of Cameron, NC; Noah Burham of Hopkinsville, KY; and Khindra Dean of Ramer, TN. He also leaves behind his niece, Whitney Bradley and husband Garrett and their children Bentlee and Walker of Sulphur Springs, TX; his former wife, Debbie Ferguson of Selmer, TN; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lonnie Ray Ferguson; his maternal grandparents, William Clifford and Maggie Virginia Price; and his paternal grandparents, Dee and Lavonia Ferguson.
