Donnie Wesson

Donnie Joe Wesson was born on May 14, 1941 in Cooter, Missouri, the son of the late Elmer and Myrtle Kathleen Banks Wesson. 

On April 30th, 1977, he was united in marriage to Lillie Pearl Stricklin Wesson, who survives.

Donnie honorably served his country in the United States National Guard for 8 years. He worked in carpentry until he got injured in 1985. Nothing made him happier than to spend time with his kids and grandkids. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing guitar, singing, watching westerns (John Wayne), and working and reading puzzle books when he got sick. Donnie had a sharp memory and could recall any date. His favorite food was catfish, he loved to catch and eat them. 

Donnie departed this on March 2, 2023 in Adamsville, Tennessee at the age of 81 years, 9 months, and 16 days. 

He is survived by his wife, Lillie Pearl Stricklin Wesson of Adamsville, Tennessee; daughters, JoAnn Alexander, Laura Gail Stone, and Donna Mae Trull; sister, Barbara McConnell, brothers, Bobby Dan Wesson and Jimmy Wesson; 7 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. 

In addition to his parents, Donnie was preceded in death by his sister, Maudie Ruth Wesson; brothers, Kenneth Ray Wesson, Billy Wesson, Sr., and Douglas Wesson.
