Donny Joe Franks

Donny Joe Franks was born on May 16, 1950 in Waynesboro, Tennessee, the son of the late John Coy and Jewel Renee Wilkerson Franks.

On September 2, 2000, he was united in marriage to Judy Ann Hooper, who survives.

Mr. Franks retired from Trimatic Springs where he worked as a painter. He was a member of Souls Harvest Church of God. Donny loved going fishing, watching westerns, and spending time visiting with his family and friends.

Donny Joe Franks departed this life on March 18, 2023 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 72 years, 10 months, and 2 days.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Ann Franks of Savannah, Tennessee; children, Terry Franks and his wife Sarah of Moody, Alabama, Jerry Franks of Moody, Alabama, Anna Cossey of Savannah, Tennessee, and Jimmy Cossey of Dickson, Tennessee; grandchildren, Lainey Franks, Maddie Franks, and Maddlyn Cossey; sister, Linda Jerrolds and her husband Bobby of Savannah, Tennessee; niece, Jennifer Davis and her husband Bo; great nieces, Jordan Bills and Jimmi Lynn Davis; and great great niece, Jenna Bills.

In addition to his parents, Donny was preceded in death by his brother, Lonnie Franks.
