Dora Marie Barnes

Dora Marie Barnes was born October 18, 1938 in Lepanton, Arkansas the daughter of the late Charlie Shelton and Mildred Shelton Tate.She was united in marriage to James Sampson Barnes who survives. Mrs. Barnes was a retired factory worker having worked at Brown Shoe Company, Garan Sportswear, and Proctor and Gamble. When she lived in McNairy County she attended Clear Creek Baptist Church.Mrs. Barnes departed this life on January 30, 2011 in Beech Bluff, Tennessee at the age of 72 Years, 3 Months, 12 Days.She is survived by her husband James Sampson Barnes of Beech Bluff, TN; two daughters, Deloris M. Cook of Decaturville, TN, Thelma Carolyn Boehm of Beech Bluff, TN; three sons, Walter Thomas Godsey Jr. of Selmer, TN, Josh Randall Godsey of Adamsville, TN, Timothy Earl Godsey of Adamsville, TN; 6 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren, 1 Step Grandchild.A host of extended family and friends.In addition to her parents, Mrs. Barnes was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Marie Barnes and 2 granddaughters.
