Dora Jeanette (Net) Rainey Nelson

Dora Jeanette (Net) Rainey Nelson departed this life on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at the age of 73 years, 11 months, and 17 days. She was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on November 23, 1942 the daughter of the late Adley and Lou Ellen Clement Rainey. On July 27, 1971 she was united in marriage to Edward Nelson, who preceded her in death September of 1992.

Dora (Net) had lived in Hardin County for most of her life and from 1968 to 1992 she had lived in Pocahontas, Arkansas. She was a member of the Crossroads Union Church. She enjoyed quilting, genealogy, and having a good time. Dora was known as a being happy, kind, generous, loving her family, and the Lord.

She is survived by her stepdaughters, Anna Jean Coy and husband, Bobby of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Gloria June Copeland of Bartlett, Tennessee; stepson, Darrell Ray Nelson and wife, Bobbie of Maynard, Arkansas; grandchildren, Steven Coy, Richard Coy, David Coy, Curtis Copeland, Susan Russell, Jason Nelson, April Brown, Chris Nelson, Shane Smith, and Shantelle Sullinger; 26 great-grandchildren; sister, Judith Deanna Rainey Smith of Savannah, Tennessee; brother, Larry Joe Rainey of Savannah, Tennessee; and a friend she loved like a daughter, Teresa Scherrer of Savannah, Tennessee.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Franklin Rainey, Sr.
