Doreen Handing
was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 16, 1966 the daughter of the late Raymond Robert Handing and JoAnn McNear DeLong.
Doreen lived in Indiana for 21 years and moved to Alabama for a brief time. She later moved to Tennessee so she could be close to her family, especially her mother. Doreen worked in the carnival industry, she ran the goldfish and the bearded dragon games. She loved carnival life because she was able to travel and her family could get in free.
Doreen departed this life on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at her home in Adamsville, Tennessee at the age of 54 years, 9 months and 19 days.
She is survived by her children, Subrina McDonald of Florence, Alabama, Latisha Handing, and Jayson Handing, both of Savannah, Tennessee; many grandchildren; sisters, Deborah Burney of Adamsville, Tennessee, and Lynette DeLong of Peru, Indiana; and brothers, Ray Handing of Savannah, Tennessee, Steven Handing of Monteagle, Tennessee, and Freddie DeLong of Adamsville, Tennessee.
In addition to her parents, Doreen was preceded in death by one sister, Lorri DeLong.
