Doris C. Bishop, 82, of Bolivar, died Friday, April 22, 2005 at Methodist Central Hospital in Memphis.
The widow of Harry M. Bishop, who died August 21, 1997 after 56
years of marriage, she was a homemaker. Mrs. Bishop was born
February 21, 1923 in Memphis, daughter of the late Roy and Mary
Johnson Chambers and had made her home here since 1946. She
was a member of Bolivar First Baptist Church and the VFW
Auxiliary.
Services were 2 PM Sunday, April 24 at Shackelford Funeral
Directors Bolivar chapel with Dr. Ernest E. James officiating.
Burial was in Bolivar Memorial Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Harriet B. Price of Memphis; one
son, Eddie Bishop of Olive Branch; four grandchildren and five
great grandchildren.
