Mrs. Cartlidge passed away Wednesday morning, September 28, 2011 at Bolivar General Hospital.
Born in Kingsdown, Kansas, November 17, 1916, to Charles Arion and Iva Jane Firestone Gross, she was a retired nurse having worked in Chicago, St. Louis County Hospital and Western Mental Health Institute where she retired. She married in 1944 to John P Cartlidge, who passed away August 18, 1995. She was a Captain in the Army Nurse Corp during WWII.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Diane McDonnell and Mary Walder Glover both of Middleton; a son, John Thomas Cartlidge and his wife Betty also of Middleton; 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister Freida Louise Imhoff.
