Doris Collins

Doris Collins departed this life on Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at the age of 78 years and 4 days. She was born in Jackson, Tennessee on February 3, 1939, the daughter of the late Alvin R. and Velma Doyle Collins. On August 24, 1957, she was united in marriage to Herman Kenneth Collins, who preceded her in death on July 10, 2005.

Doris had lived in Hardin County, Tennessee most of her life and had worked for H.I.S. Sportswear as a sewing machine operator for over 20 years. She was a member of the Saltillo Church of Christ in Saltillo, Tennessee. She enjoyed yardwork, gardening, flowers, cooking, shopping, sewing, quilting, and loved animals.

She is survived by her son, Kenny Collins of Saltillo, Tennessee; brother, Robin Collins of Saltillo, Tennessee; and sisters, Reba Davidson of Cedar Grove, Tennessee and Betty Sipes of Lavinia, Tennessee.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Margaret Martin, Jimmie Dean Arnold, and Marie Terry.
