Doris M. Ray

Doris M. Lipe Ray was born April 30, 1930 in Carbondale, Illinois the daughter of the late Hollis and Mamie Brewer Lipe.She was united in marriage to John Ray on September 1, 1956. Mr. Ray preceded her in death on August 4, 2006.Mrs. Ray was a homemaker. She dearly loved her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and cooking.Mrs. Ray departed this life on February 7, 2010 in Bowling Green, KY at the age of 79 Years, 9 Months, 8 Days. She is survived by two daughters, Lisa Breymaier and husband Steve of Bowling Green, KY, Sue Grunwald and husband Rusty of Brentwood, TN; a son, John Ray Jr. of Indian Creek, IL; seven grandchildren, Trey Breymaier, Katie Austin and husband John, Megan Breymaier, Matt Grunwald, Morgan Grunwald, Lindsey Ray, Carter Ray; a grt-grandchild, Alli Claire Austin; two sisters, Susie Twitchell of Madison, WI, Lenore Crowell of Carbondale, IL.In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Ray was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Lipe, Midge Palfalvy; a brother, Norris Lipe.Graveside services were held on Tuesday, February 8, 2010 at 3:30 PM with Br. Jimmy Kelley officiating.
