Doris Lorraine Lewis Riley

Doris Lorraine Lewis Riley was born June 30, 1938 in Savannah, TN, the daughter of the late Roy Lee and Blanche Mae Davis Lewis. Mrs. Riley departed this life on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at Savannah Health Care and Rehab in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 81 years, 4 months, 18 days. She was married to John Norris Riley, December 24, 1957. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Riley was preceded in death by a daughter, Jonnie Annette Gobbell, a brother, Raymond Lewis, four sisters, Ruth Lewis, Brenda Burris, Rdale Lewis, and Burnis Lewis. Mrs. Riley was a teacher at head start and a member of the Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband John Norris Riley of Waynesboro, TN, daughters, Rita Suetta Riley of Nashville, TN, and Connie Denice Anderson of Waynesboro, TN, brothers, Gene Lewis and James Marshall Lewis both of Savannah, TN, Charles Lewis of Florence, AL, and Bobby Lewis of Morris Chapel, TN, sisters, Linda Williams of Longview, TX, Judy Matlock of Adamsville, TN, Karen Scheele of Crump, TN, Debbie Presley and Geneva Duncan both of Savannah, TN, grandchildren, Johnna Leigh Gobbell Willis, Tara Denice Anderson, and Hannah Dale Davis, great-grandchildren, Jaleigh Raygan Powell, Chase Preston Willis, and Eli Reedus, nieces and nephews.

Services will be Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Waynesboro, Tennessee with Tracy Love officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery, Waynesboro, with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family. Pallbearers are Tim Anderson, Billy Riley, Joe Riley, Gene Riley, Marshall Lewis, and Jerry Matlock, honorary pallbearer, Rayford Gobbell. Visitation will be Tuesday from
6:00-9:00 PM and Wednesday from 8:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
